A few days ago it surfaced that I, VASHTIE, had designed a JORDAN!
Legally, I could make no admission to that fact – but, today that beautiful fact appeared on the JORDAN BLOG announcing that I had (indeed) designed a JORDAN 2. It has been the hardest secret I’ve ever had to keep, but having a bad memory also helps with hiding secrets
I’m beyond ecstatic right now. Me?! Designing a JORDAN?! As in JORDAN!!! It’s not like JORDAN collaborates with just anyone. On top of that…
I AM THE FIRST FEMALE TO DESIGN A JORDAN!!!
I mean, then again…What other sneaker brand could be the first for me to design for! It’s a NO BRAINER…I’ve been known for being a JORDAN ROCKING FOOL since before I’ve been noted for anything else in my career!

One of the obvious problems with a dress made entirely out of meat is that it’s perishable. So, after Lady Gaga premiered her fleshy outfit at last week’s MTV Video Music Awards, fans had to wonder: What would become of the famous meaty fashion after the show? No, it wasn’t grilled up and served with a case of red wine. “The dress will go through a process where it becomes a sort of ‘jerky,’ ” the designer, Franc Fernandez, tells E! Online. But before you start salivating, be apprised that the jerky will not be available for tastings. It will be “archived” for posterity, Fernandez says, telling MTV Style that he bought 50 pounds of meat and designed the dress over three days, refrigerating it in between sessions. Over time, the metamorphosis into jerky is natural, he adds. “The meat dries out, rather than rotting,” he says. “But it shouldn’t be worn again.”And he’s not planning on designing another one. “There’s not going to be meat dresses in the future,” he says. “This was made for a specific purpose. Porsche is looking to help five lucky families celebrate the holiday season this year. The German automaker’s lifestyle accessory division, Porsche Design, has come up with what has to be the world’s costliest advent calendar. Instead of an array of tasty chocolates stashed in a cardboard calendar, the company has built an aluminum tower nearly six-feet tall. There are unique Porsche Design gifts designed to correspond with each day in the run up to Christmas, including niceties like a P’6910 mechanical stopwatch, a full P’7340 kitchen and, probably most impressively, an RFF28 “motor yacht” with a single 525-horsepower Mercury engine. Quite how they get the last two items to fit in the tower, we’re not entirely sure.
The rest of the days are marked by goodies like Porsche Design cuff links, pens and sunglasses dipped in 18-karat yellow gold. The price for all of this finery? A cool one $1 million, but with only five of the calendars being created, we’re guessing that they’ll have a shot at selling them all. If you’ve got the funds and nothing better to spend it on, Porsche says you can request your own calendar at any Porsche Design store. Hit the jump to read the full press release.

Right after the tv-series The Sopranos ended its run in 2007. Premium cable network HBO went to work on the next television saga, Boardwalk Empire. Along with The Sopranos screenwriter Terence Winter and director Martin Scorsese, the historical crime drama take place in the “original” sin city, Atlantic City, during the Prohibition Era of the 1920s. In a massive marketing campaign to coincide with the premiere of the series this week, HBO and BLT & Associates rolled out a special billboard in New York City and Chicago’s bus shelter. In the form of large whiskey bottle, the billboards are embedded with a special QR Code. When the code is read by a cellphone, direction as well as password will appear to gain entry to a secret “speakeasy” event, where the first drink will be on the house. Akon Accused of Pulling Out, Gives Birth to Lawsuit (tmz)

Akon backed out of a Belgium concert and left the promoter high and dry to the tune of a quarter of a million dollars … this according to a lawsuit filed against the hip-hop superstar.
In the documents, the promoter — Lofraco Belgium — claims Akon and his booking agents agreed to do a show in Belgium in October of 2009 that would also feature Kardinal Offishalll and Colby O’Donis … both performers on Akon’s label Konvict Muzik.
According to the lawsuit — filed in the Supreme Court
of the State of NY — Lofraco Belgium paid Akon’s booking agents $125,000 for the gig, but just 8 days before the show the promoter was told Akon had to pull out because of “scheduling conflicts.”
The suit claims breach of contract, fraud and concealment — and the plaintiff wants $250,000 in expenses back and punitive damages in the multi-millions.
Akon’s rep hasn’t gotten back to us yet.
